This Declaration communicated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Cambodia refers to an Agreement between Thailand and Viet Nam of 9 August 1997 in which a maritime boundary in the Gulf of Thailand is established. In that Agreement, reference is made to an existing maritime boundary with Cambodia. Cambodia hereby declares that it has never agreed with such boundary and asserts its rights and legitimate interests in the said areas.
