These regulations fix maximum residue limits (MRLs) applicable to particular pharmacologically active substances which are contained in veterinary drugs (First Schedule). Where, upon evaluation of a pharmacologically active substance, it appears that it is not necessary for the protection of public health to establish a MRL, the substance shall be included in the list laid down in the Second Schedule hereby attached.
