This Act amends the Medicines and Related Substances Control Act, 2003, by, among other things: giving a new definition of "animal" (not based anymore on the Animal Diseases and Parasites Act, 1956; modifying various other definitions; providing anew with respect to the composition and other matters of the Medicines Control Council; defining powers of the Council in respect of licences and permits; and by providing for the compulsory registration of premises for the manufacture of medicines and
