These Regulations amend Chapter 3 of Part 6 of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995 in order to implement Council Decision 2002/762/EC authorizing the Member States, in the interests of the Community, to sign, ratify or accede to the International Convention on Civil Liability for Bunker Oil Pollution Damage 2001. Amendments concern, among other things, liability for pollution in case of other ships and compulsory insurance.
