This Order extends Part VI, Chapters III and IV of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995 to Montserrat, with the necessary exceptions, modifications and adaptations. Those provisions give effect in the United Kingdom to the 1992 Protocol to the International Convention on Civil Liability for Oil Pollution Damage 1969 and the 1992 Protocol to the International Convention on the Establishment of an International Fund for Compensation for Oil Pollution Damage 1971.
