These Regulations, made by the Minister of Transport Affairs under section 3 of the Marine Pollution (Prevention of Pollution from Ships) Act, concern compliance of South African ships carrying chemical substances with the International Code for the Construction and Equipment of Ships Carrying Dangerous Chemicals in Bulk (IBC Code 1994 edition) issued under the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships.
