This Decree establishes a system for the protection against Spongiform encephalopathy, the purposes of this system are: to control and evaluate the diffusion of diseases among cattle, the analysis and the diagnosis of potential infection cases and the management of emergency cases. In terms of Article 3 is established a national registry of all the holdings which keep such animals. The responsible authority will periodically check feedstuff production plants.
