As established by Ministerial Decree of 18 march 2002 on marine fisheries, fishing in the waters adjacent to the districts of Monfalcone and Trieste is regulated by the fisheries collective agreement, by the programmes and rules laid down by recognized producers' organizations and by customs in force. However, the Harbour's Masters of Trieste and Monfalcone are hereby empowered to set out further provisions even not compatible with the above-mentioned rules and programmes.
