Without any prejudice to the requirements established by the legislation in force relating to raw milk intended for the manufacturing of treated milk, this Ministerial Decree allows the microfiltration treatment during the production of milk (as per article 4 of Act No. 169 of 1989). Whoever intends to produce milk by adopting the above-mentioned treatment must inform the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry resources as well as the Ministry of Health.
