This Ministerial Decree establishes classification of protection forests by categories as follows: (a) prohibited forest belts on riverside, banks of lakes, water reservoirs and other waterbodies; (b) prohibited forest belts protecting spawning grounds of precious marketable fish species; (c) anti-erosion forests; (d) protection forest belts along railway and roads; (d) forests of arid and semi-arid areas; (e) urban forest belts; (f) sanitary protection forest belts around the sources of potable
