The purpose of this Decree is to harmonize the Greek legislative frame with a number of EU Directives regarding the emission of pollutants from engines of motor vehicles. Annexes I to IX to this Decree establish extensive measures and standards for the application for approval of a vehicle type with regard to the emission of gaseous and particulate pollutants from its engine, permission for the vehicle to circulate, specifications for gas emission tests.
