This Ministerial Decree establishes the modalities for collecting environmental fees for the use of protected areas for recreation, education, tourism and research. Each activity shall take place in a discrete zone within a protected area. Environmental fees shall be calculated according to the quality and accessibility of the territory. Natural and legal persons shall be authorized to use protected areas for above purposes upon presentation of a receipt for payment of environmental fees.
