With the purpose of implementing Council Directive No. 2000/63/EC which amends Directive 96/77/EC laying down specific purity criteria on food additives other than colours and sweeteners, article 36 of the Food Code is amended. In the specific, the annex to article 36 is amended by replacing the standards for Butyl Hydroxy Toluene (BHA) food additive, also known as E320.
