Part II of these Regulations provides for the management of wetlands and wetland resources. The objectives of this Part are to provide for the conservation and wise use of wetlands and their resources in Uganda, to give effect to clause 2 of article 237 of the Constitution of Uganda, to ensure water catchment conservation and flood control, to ensure the sustainable use of wetlands for ecological and other purposes, to ensure that wetlands are protected as habitats for species of fauna and flora
