This Act amends provisions of the National Environmental Management Act, 1998 on a wide variety of matters including: definitions of "Department", Environmental Assessment Practitioner" and "specific environmental management act"; environmental planning; publication of a national environmental outlook report by the Minister; guidelines on sound environmental management; prevention or containment of emergency situations; consequences of commencement of unlawful activities; and enforcement.
