The National Veterinary Institute is established a s a public enterprise and as such shall be governed by the Public Enterprise Proclamation No. 52/1992. The Government shall designate a body to supervise the Institute. The purposes of the Institute are to produce vaccines of international standard for various animal diseases, to produce various veterinary drugs, “biologicals” and reagents and to sell such products locally and abroad.
