The present Regulations enact subsection 332(1) the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the notification of new substances. The text – consisting of 9 sections – deal with the following matters: scope, micro-organisms, organisms other than micro-organisms, information provision time limits, assessment periods, retention of information, administrative requirements and coming into force. Five Schedules are enclosed as follows:
