This Notification provides for the quality control of ice creams. Ice cream is prescribed food to have qualities or standards (Clause 2). Clause 3 Ice cream shall be classified into 5 types (Clause 3). The qualities or standards of ice creams are stipulated in Clause 4 - 6. Clause 7-10 provide for the requirements to be satisfied for the usage of food additives, production and importation, packaging and labels of ice creams.
