This Notification amends the Northern Areas Fisheries Act. Various definitions of section 2 have been modified and others have been added. Minor amendments have been made to section 5 and 15 regarding destruction of fish by water poisoning, and penalties. New sub-sections have been added to section 7 and 17 regarding fishing gear and powers of the court. Schedule 2 of the Act has also been amended.
