This Order prohibits the use of purse-seine gear operated by mechanized fishing vessels within the territorial waters of Greater Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg Districts, and prohibits the landing of the catch caught with such gear beyond the territorial waters in any port other than the Mirkarwada (Ratnagiri) port in Ratnagiri District.
