This Order, composed of 13 articles, rules on protection measures for fish reproduction in the whole Paraná River Basin. In particular, it defines the period for protected fish reproduction, and forbids fishing activities in the related marine lagoons, as well as in the proximity of waterfalls and dams for hydroelectric reserves. The order specifies the forbidden fishing gears as well as fish species and the areas where fishing is permitted.
