This Order approves the action programme for the vulnerable zone No. 1 - free groundwater reservoir between Esposende and Vila do Conde. The aim of this Programme is to protect of waters against pollution caused by nitrates from agricultural sources and to avoid the freshwater pollution within the aforementioned zone, delimited by the Cávado River, the Highway IC 1, the Ave River and the coast.
