The present Ordinance lays down provisions relating to the enforcement of the Federal Animal Protection Act of 9 March 1978 and the Federal Animal Protection Ordinance of 17 May 1981 in the Canton of Aargau. The text – consisting of 26 articles – deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: general provisions, authorization to keep wild animals, trade and publicity with animals, animal experiments, fees, procedure.
