The present Ordinance implements the Animal Disease Act in its version of 22 June 2004 (BGBl. I p. 1261) and the Law implementing the Animal Disease Act in its version of 19 November 1987. The purpose of the Ordinance is to implement the Federal Bees Disease Ordinance (BGBl. I No. 59, p. 1552).
