The present Ordinance implements the Seeds Act of 20 May 1968, in its version of 23 June 1975. Article 1 establishes that planting material may only be imported if it has been notified to Federal Institute of Agriculture and Food by the importer. The text – consisting of 5 articles – deals with the following aspects: importation notification, proceedings, official attestation, presentation and sampling and entry into force.
