These Rules implement provisions of the Orissa Marine Fishing Regulations Act, 1982. The Rules provide application forms for the registration of fishing vessels, certificates of registration for fishing vessels and fishing licences for fishing vessels. The Rules also specify fees payable for the registration of fishing vessels and the granting of fishing licences.
