The purpose of the law is to prevent the generation of packaging waste, to reduce the heavy metals contents in packaging and to enhance reduction of packaging waste disposal by re-use, recovery and recycling. The Law covers all packaging placed on the market and all packaging waste, whether it is used or released at industrial, commercial, household or any other level, in spite of the materials used.
