Plant Protection (Banana Aerial Spraying Levy) Order (S.I. No. 71 of 1999).

This Order introduces an areal spraying levy on all bananas exported from St.Lucia. The rate is prescribed in the Schedule. The levy shall be paid by companies licensed to trade in the export of bananas in such manner as the Minister may direct. The monies so produced shall be used to defray costs of areal spraying by the Government and to establish technical competence for the purpose of pest surveillance. (4 articles completed by 3 Schedules)
