These Rules aim at the prevention of spreading of a disease affecting the cassava plant. Transportation of cassava plants from or into any part of the Kagera region without permission of the Director of Agriculture is prohibited. The District Officer for Apiculture and Livestock Development shall declare areas affected by the diseases to be under quarantine.
