The present Ordinance implements the Water Transportation Law in its version of 17 February 1993. In particular, the Ordinance lays down provisions relating to ports in the Land Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The Ordinance applies to ports in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, as well to entrances to ports as far as those are not federal waterways. The text consists of 35 articles divided into 3 Parts as follows: Sphere of application, competences (1); Conduct in ports (2); Final provisions (3).
