Potatoes (Precautions against Blight) (Jersey) Order 1961.

This Order, made pursuant to articles 16 and 17 of the Agricultural Marketing (Jersey) Law 1953, introduces measures against the spreading of blight affecting potatoes. It, amongst other things requires growers, if directed to do so, to effectively spray against blight their crop of potatoes and to cut, scorch or otherwise destroy the haulms of affected potatoes. The Minister for Planning and Environment may grant material or financial assistance to growers for purposes of spraying.
