Under Article 12 of the basic Law the council of Ministers have the power to introduce these Regulations in order to: a) set forth the criteria for classification of slaughtered poultry and poultry cuts in categories; b) determine marketing and packaging standards for fresh or frozen poultry meat; c) establish systems of licences and inspection procedures on meat and breeding methods.
