The President establishes to set the following tasks and functions to the authorized state institution the National oil and gas corporation: (a) elaboration of long-term scientific, technical and economic programmes of oil and gas sector; (b) provision and the national economy and population with oil and natural gas; (c) coordination of exploration and prospecting of oil and gas fields, introduction of efficient extraction methods; and (d) supervision over the functioning of oil and natural gas
