Aim of the present Decree is to amend the provisions of Presidential Decree No. 32/1997 so as to delegate part of the State administration’s duties to undertake inspection, survey and certification of vessels, to recognized (under the State Administration) Bodies responsible for carrying out inspection on vessels and issuance of safety certificates. Under this light, paragraph (e) of article 3 to Decree No. 32/1997 is replaced by the text contained in article 2 to this Decree.
