Presidential Decree No. 437 laying down the modalities for the registration and the identification of bovine animals.

This Presidential Decree sets out the registration and identification system for bovine animals. Such system shall include: (a) ear marking; (b) animal passports; (c) registers to be kept by the enterprises; (d) a computerized database. Holders of bovine animals, holders of slaughterhouses, producers and suppliers of ear marks, the local health authorities, the Regions and the Autonomous Provinces as well as the Ministry of Health are in charge of the functioning of the above-mentioned system.
