Aim of the provisions of the present Decree is to set forth national measures adapting the requirements laid down by a number of EU Regulations and Directives with regard to hygiene rules for foodstuffs of animal origin, the official controls on products of animal origin intended for human consumption and animal health and animal welfare rules.
