These Regulations amend the principal Regulations of 1998 so as to extend the powers of authorized officers as regards products of animal origin which have been imported otherwise than in accordance with those Regulations or which constitute a risk to animal or human health. The effect of the amendments made by these Regulations is to confer on an authorized officer of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Food Standards Agency or a district council the power: (i) in respect o
