The present Regulations enact subsection 332(1) of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999. In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the prohibition of toxic substances. Subject to sections 2 and 3, these Regulations apply to substances that are both specified on the List of Toxic Substances in Schedule 1 to the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 and set out in either Schedule 1 or 2 to these Regulations.
