This Provincial Act lays down provisions in matter of Environmental Impact Assessment with a view to protecting human health as well as the environment, contributing to the maintenance of the species variety and enhancing the reproduction of the ecosystem, which is considered as an essential life resource. To this end, all projects, both private and public, which are likely to have a significant impact on the surrounding environment shall be subject to a previous environmental impact assessment.
