This Act prohibits the importation for sale of any food that is not labelled in accordance with requirements as set out by this Act. The requirements concern use of the English: the name of the food; the name and address of the manufacturer and distributor; a complete list of ingredients; the country of origin; the lot identification code; and the expiration date.
An Act to further amend title 41 of the Code of the Federated States of Micronesia, as amended, by enacting a new section 1006A to require all food items sold to be labelled, and for other purposes.
