This Regional Act lays down provisions governing the exercise of functions in the agricultural sector and rearranges the institutional framework relevant to agriculture. It defines the aims of the regional agricultural policy and sets up various advisory and research institutes, such as the Agency for Agricultural Research (art. 6) and the Agency for the Implementation of Agricultural Programmes (art. 13).
