This Act lays down provisions on the protection and preservation of monumental olive trees in the Region of Puglia. The Act regulates the identification and registration of monumental olive trees. An olive tree is to be considered monumental when it fulfills the conditions and characteristics specified in article 2. Felling is prohibited. Final provisions set out penalties.
