The Act provides for the establishment of the Basin Authority of the Puglia Region, which shall operate in accordance with the principles contained in Act No. 183 of 1989. The Authority shall coordinate and monitor the planning activities relating to all regional hydrographic basins as well as the interregional basin of the river Ofanto.
