This Regional Act concerns the hunting and capture of wild birds that may take place pursuant to the derogation regime laid down in article 9 of Directive 79/409/EEC. The latter allows, under certain conditions, hunting for bird species which cause damages to crops. The Regional Executive is authorized by this Act to suspend hunting when the conservation of species is under threat.
