The present Act has been enacted to establish the Regional Forestry Body, which shall exercise the functions listed out in articles 2 and 3. The functions cover among others management of the regional forest domain, prevention of forest fires, fight against pests, certification of environmental quality, control of the keeping and placing on the market of wild animals, surveillance on protected areas.
