This Regional Act aims at preventing air pollution and lays down rules to ensure the reduction of emissions into the atmosphere and pollutants that deplete the ozone layer. It defines the procedure to be followed by the Regional Council to approve plans concerning ambient air quality. The Regional Agency for Environmental Protection is responsible for monitoring ambient air quality (art. 4).
