The Sardinia Region shall carry out interventions in the forestry sector on the basis of, on the one hand, the General Afforestation Plan and, on the other hand, implementation programmes to be approved by the Regional Council (art. 1). Article 2 provides for the establishment of the Entity of Forests of Sardinia which, as from 1 January 2000 on, shall replace the Company of Forests of the Domain of Sardinia Region.
