Regional Act No. 29 making provision on the coexistence of genetically modified crops with conventional and organic farming.

The present Act lays down at the regional level the legislative framework applicable to ensure the coexistence of genetically modified crops with conventional and organic farming. Such coexistence shall be managed in compliance with the precautionary principle, in order to avoid risks to conventional crops, organic crops and spontaneous flora. With a view to ensuring that genetically modified seed are not mixed with other seeds, the measures established by article 4 shall be applied by farmers.
