With a view to protecting the regional environment and landscape, this Regional Act makes provision on the designation and preservation of monumental trees. Monumental trees are trees of a great natural, historical, cultural or environmental value (art. 2). The Regional Counsel of Agriculture shall keep and update a register of monumental trees (art. 3).
