This Regional Decree, with a view of conservation unique natural complex, precious from ecological, cultural, aesthetic and scientific point of view, attributes the status of regional monument to “Popovka river valley”. The aforesaid nature monument shall perform the following functions: (a) conservation, protection and reproduction of landscape and biological diversity; (b) conservation of natural complex of canyonlike Popovka river valley with Paleozoic deposits; and (c) ecological education.
